Our Experts

If you have ever stared at two nearly identical awnings, power stations or fridges and wondered which one will actually suit your van, you are in the right place. CamperNV exists to turn product specs into practical advice for people who use their campervans and motorhomes in the real world.

We are an independent UK retailer, based in North Berwick, Scotland. We work in partnership with Jerba Campervans, but we operate as our own specialist shop. That partnership matters because it puts conversion know-how behind the recommendations we give, without turning CamperNV into a converter itself.

Why our advice is different

Steve Ingle, CamperNV
Steve Ingle
Marketing Director at Jerba Campervans. You may know Steve from the Jerba YouTube channel, where he presents kit reviews, van tours and behind-the-scenes visits to the manufacturing site.

CamperNV was started by Steve Ingle, Marketing Director at Jerba Campervans. Jerba is a premium VW and Ford campervan converter in Scotland: a Volkswagen Motorhome Qualified converter, and accredited to the Ford National Converter Programme, with Type Approval behind its builds. Those credentials sit with Jerba. What CamperNV draws on is the same team’s day-to-day experience of how kit fits, fails, and earns its place on the road.

That experience is not theoretical. Jerba has built vans for more than 1,000 owners, and our wider team brings 15+ years at the top end of the industry. Alongside that come years of supplier relationships, which help us source current products, keep pricing fair, and sort aftercare when something needs a spare part or a warranty route.

Steve also pioneered the Jerba YouTube channel, which has grown to a reach of more than two million, with kit reviews, manufacturing behind the scenes, and van tours. Our ambition for CamperNV is the same spirit in retailer form: honest comparisons, clear sizing guidance, and content that helps you specify properly before you buy.

What we help with day to day

Most conversations start with a vehicle and a plan for how you travel. From there we help with the practical choices that sit around a living van:

  • Awnings and canopies: cassette and drive-away options, rail and adapter compatibility, and sizing based on your vehicle dimensions and how you camp.
  • Portable power: matching capacity to fridges, charging habits and off-grid nights, rather than chasing the biggest number on the box.
  • Appliances: compressor versus absorption cooling, ventilation and power draw, and what makes sense for UK touring.
  • Compatibility checks: rails, brackets, adapters and accessories that work together, so you are not left with an almost-right part.
  • Product comparisons: clear pros and cons of similar models, grounded in real setups rather than sales scripts.
  • Aftercare: warranty claims, spare parts and manufacturer support routes when you need them.

We will not invent fitment we have not checked. If a product needs a measurement from your van, we will ask for it. If two options are both workable, we will say so and explain the trade-offs.
